    Statue representing the famous "Chilly" by Mathurin Moreau (1822-1912, this artist was particularly renowned for his decorative statues. Trained in the workshops of Jules Ramey and Auguste Dumont. He won the second prize of Rome in 1842 and exhibited at the Salon of French artists from 1848.
    He collaborated from 1849 to 1879 with the foundry of Val d'Osne, he provided on this occasion many models for the edition of decorative sculptures sold both to a particular client and to cities or institutions (Fountains known as Tourny de Bordeaux...).

    Our statue has a beautiful medal patina.
