Bronze stauette depicting Lakshmi once holding a bowl (diya) used as an oil lamp (Paavai Vilakku). She is richly adorned: arm, wrist and ankle bracelets, necklaces, tiara and large earrings. She is dressed in a simple skirt reaching down to her calves, her upper body bare with a generous chest. Two peacocks are placed on each shoulder. The elaborate hair is contained in a high bun, a long braid going down to the hollow of the kidneys.
