Bust of a young girl in Carrara marble depicting the harvest. She wears a hat and necklace on bare shoulders and holds ears of wheat and a sickle against her chest. Very fine, delicate work, particularly the delicate neckline. Signed on the back Scut: Pietro Lazzerini Carrara.
Pietro LAZZERINI (1842 - 1918) was an Italian sculptor descended from an illustrious family whose workshop remained active between 1670 and 1942.
