Fragment of a pink sandstone stele representing the couple Shiva and Parvati.
Shiva on the left, is traditionally represented taller than his consort. Her youthful-looking face is characterized by semi-circular browbones overhanging large almond-shaped eyes, the slender nose positioned above a small mouth with parted lips. The hair is made up of large, undulating curls falling over the shoulders, a heavy necklace resting on her chest.
Parvati presents a slightly slanted face with closed eyes framing a thin and flattering nose. The hairstyle is characterized by a high double bun, the generous chest receiving as well as Shiva a wide necklace. Left arm raised, hand level with face receiving an artifact.
