Shakyamuni Buddha seated in dhyanasana on a bare base, his right hand in bhumisparsa mudra, his left hand in dhyana mudra, his curls and ushnisha carefully cast, ketumala adjoining. Late 18th / early 19th century.
This image of Buddha stands out for the rendering of his compassionate expression, the serenity of his face, the delicate uncrossing of his fingers and the alignment of his back.
