Beautiful Art Deco sculpture by Charles Lemanceau (1905-1980), circa 1930, depicting an elephant and her calf. Made of crackled earthenware with a blue glaze. Signed intaglio on the base. An unusual color for this type of earthenware.
In good condition, note a chip on the base and inside, as well as some minor flaws visible in the photo.
