Fragment of a sandstone stele representing the Ganesh - Shiva - Parvati Trinity.
8th - 10th century AD.
The ensemble is composed of three niches where the deities are seated.
The central niche houses a representation of Shiva seated on a high cushion in the lotus position (vajraprayanka), his hands in a meditative position, two attributes placed at his side. He is wearing a high tiara and a brahmanic cord. He sits in the middle of two columns surmounted by a capital decorated with volutes, two worshippers placed on either side of the deity pay homage to him, hands joined in anjali mudra.
The niche on his right receives Ganesh, his son, his left hand holding the bowl of sweets.
The niche on his left receives his goddess Parvati, who is shown smaller than her husband. She is depicted seated in a position of relaxation (ardhaparyanka), holding her attributes and wearing a tiara and a pearl necklace.
The right part of the ensemble represents a makara, with its horn raised.
