Small bust in Limoges cookie representing the young Alexandre Brongniart (1770 - 1847), French Scientist. The work was made after the sculpture executed in 1777 by the renowned artist Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741 - 1828), and currently kept in the Louvre Museum.
The child is here wearing a shirt with an open collar. His wavy hair surrounds his childlike face, which is enhanced by his benevolent smile.
He is placed on a pedestal of midnight blue color enhanced by gold nets.
One will appreciate the delicacy and the softness which emerges from this small cookie manufactured with the famous manufacture of Limoges.
