Louis Alfred Barye, known as Barye le fils, born in Paris on January 21, 1839 and died in the same city on May 13, 18951 , was a French sculptor.
Alfred Barye was a pupil of his father, the sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye (1795-1875). His work includes animal bronzes and orientalist subjects. At his father's request, he signed his works under the name Barye "Le fils" to distinguish him from his father. He exhibited at the Salon from 1864 to 1882.
