Galerie Georgette Classics presents two large terracotta statues. These two statues depict a couple. The female figure is strongly inspired by Diana the Huntress, a symbol of virginity and the struggle against idleness and the vanities of the world. In contrast, the male figure is likely inspired by Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, celebration, and abundance. These two statues come from the southeastern region of France, near Uzès. They are in good condition, each measuring just over 100 cm. These statues are very finely carved and would be perfect for a winter garden, a sunroom, or a covered patio. Come see them at our store in Toucy, 89130.
