Rare polychrome carved wooden statue, representing the bust of Christ crucified with a crown of thorns, eyes closed, wrought-iron crown spikes, from the Haute Epoque period (14th-15th centuries).
This exceptional bust is in generally good condition, having been subjected to the wear and tear of time. It was originally a statue of Christ on the cross, later shortened to a bust.
