    Northern Thailand, Taï Lu culture, beginning of the 20th century, superb sculpture in red and black lacquered wood enhanced with gold depicting a seated Buddha, on a high octagonal base, hands in a posture of taking the earth to witness "bhumisparsa mudra ".
    Work of good quality giving the subject a great nobility.
    Good condition except for normal wear and normal wood splits compared to age.
