A pair of Provencal walnut and chestnut armchairs with mulched seats. Their mulching, presumably original, is protected by "galettes", the insides of which we replaced as they were in poor condition. We also treated the wood seriously as a preventive measure, as it showed signs of xylophagous insects. The problem is now solved.
Although not very comfortable, these armchairs are very decorative and very much in the spirit of this beautiful province. They date from the first part of the 19th century, circa 1820. Minor restorations are to be noted, which is understandable for chairs of this period. Seat height: 43 cm
