A timeless design inspired by exceptional constructive complexity, the iconic "Barrel" chair was created in 1937 by Frank Lloyd Wright. This cylindrical-shaped chair is composed of 37 parts, each fitting into the other with extreme precision. The base and back of the chair are constructed from three pieces of solid wood, bent at different angles. The two parts are then placed back to back and glued together. The joints are all carved directly into the wood. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). This pair of chairs is dated 1986.
