Pair of armchairs stamped L.N. Mariette (1730-1789) in lacquered wood, Louis XVI period.

Pair of lacquered wood armchairs with "à la Reine" style backs, the armrest supports recessed into the back, the seats resting on fluted and reeded tapered legs. Stamped under the front rail. These armchairs are likely made around 1785. Beautiful upholstery, recently reupholstered in a magnificent Lampas fabric from Maison Nobilis.
In very good condition, with wear to the lacquer that adds to the charm of these beautiful armchairs.
