These armchairs rest on saber legs. The connecting stops feature a lotus-shaped decoration, topped on either side by a dolphin's head, forming armrest consoles. These crooked arms are remarkably finished and elegant, fleshy, well-rounded, and exquisitely tapered, ending in a tail joining the backrest upright adorned with stylized scales.
The backrests have slightly curved capitals, and the upper parts are covered with a beautiful and discreet molded barrette; the rear interlocking assembly attests to the period (circa 1820).
Perfect stability and comfortable seats, recently completely redone by a professional upholsterer and covered in an elegant speckled golden yellow cotton fabric (fabric and seat protectors are available in case of an incident, see photo).
