An elegant pair of Empire period mahogany armchairs, resting on tapered front legs and featuring remarkable carved swan-neck armrests terminating in finely chiseled stylized heads.
The slightly inclined backs are crowned with a stretcher carved with vegetal motifs.
The pieces retain a beautiful, understated, and balanced line characteristic of furniture from the Restoration period, heir to the Empire style.
The upholstery has been redone in a sumptuous crimson fabric decorated with gilt medallions and scrolls, offering a particularly elegant contrast to the warmth of the mahogany.
The seat cushions are removable.
