Pair of Louis XV period carved walnut caned armchairs, typically Lyonnais work from the Nogaret circle, mid-18th century, circa 1750-1760.

Very beautiful decoration with rich and generous moldings, finely carved flowers and roses. Everything about these armchairs is elegant: carving, curves, counter-curves, and precise proportions.

Both chairs are in excellent condition. The woodwork has been revised and is free of play. The canework is sound and well-tight. They are newly upholstered in this beautiful emerald green silk, of which we have acquired a large yardage, allowing us to offer several matching Louis XV chairs to form a substantial set.
