Pair of solid mahogany armchairs, with belts and crossbars.
They rest on two front legs turned into spindle, decorated with a shaped collar in the upper part. The upper part, turned into a vase, is prolonged by a shaped stock from which two armrests, grooved with collars, join the backrest.
This one extends upwards, it is reversed towards the back, and ends with a rosette.
The seats with good suspensions are made in a traditional way, with straps, springs and horsehair and are in good condition, as are the backs.
The whole is covered with a silky pale yellow fabric, with bamboo leaf patterns, fixed with small nails close together.
The elegant, clean lines of these Directoire armchairs, as well as their comfort, are interesting assets.
