    Description

Maison Lecan presents this pair of Thonet office chairs in bent beechwood, circa 1910. The model with armrests is one of the most accomplished examples of the steam-bent wood technique: lightweight structure, continuous line from the armrests to the backrest, and flared saber legs.
The round molded plywood seats are pyrographed with a floral motif characteristic of early 20th-century Thonet production. The original labels are present on both chairs. They have a uniform dark patina and are in their original condition. The two chairs are consistent in both condition and patina. Sold as a pair.
