A rare set of 11 armchairs with straight backs, crafted from two-tone lacquered wood and carved with interlacing patterns, shells, and acanthus leaves. The apron and legs feature scrollwork decoration of rocaille and foliage. Regency style, second half of the 19th century, circa 1900. Height: 90 cm, Width: 55 cm, Depth: 48 cm, Height under seat: 44 cm. These armchairs are all in excellent condition. They have been restored, including the caning, then disassembled, reassembled, and reglued. The original patina has simply been preserved and cleaned. A rare set, both for the number of armchairs included and their excellent condition. Sold individually for €150.
