Rare and important bench seat in solid mahogany-stained oak, molded and finely carved with iris flowers by Louis Majorelle's Nancy workshop.
The armrests are deeply curved and ribbed, and the base is finely twisted.
Very fine original patina.
The rare iris model is perfectly referenced in Louis Majorelle's work.
A chair with the same design was previously presented at Sotheby's New York (see photo). A sofa with an identical base was also presented at the same auction house (see photo).
Good condition (a few traces of light bumping to the protruding parts).
