This rare and beautiful walnut lounge chair is from the Louis XIV period, it rests on 6 so-called sheep bone legs ending in a volute, they are joined by X-shaped spacers, richly molded and handsomely carved at the intersections of rosettes. The slightly inclined backrest is provided on either side with cheeks called ears. While various lounge chairs or daybeds from the Louis XV or Louis XVI period are common on the market, it is very rare to come across this same piece of furniture from the Louis XIV period. In good condition, this piece of furniture has however benefited from some restorations, almost invisible, small grafts have been made to the spacer and a redone foot. The upholstery has just been taken over and this daybed has been covered with a new fine herringbone fabric. A particularly feminine piece of furniture, this daybed will easily find its place in a bedroom or living room, equipped with numerous cushions, you can curl up in it to read or listen to music comfortably.
