Small Walnut Sofa, Italy, Early 20th Century

We are offering this small Italian-made sofa, dating from the early 20th century. Its stylistic features draw inspiration from the opulent Louis XV period.

Constructed with a solid walnut frame, the sofa features a padded seat, backrest, and armrests for added comfort. Its silhouette—inspired by the refined taste of the Louis XV era—is defined by sinuous, enveloping lines. The wide armrests, which curve gently outward, invite you to relax, while the contoured backrest, with its undulating, wave-like shape, lends the piece a graceful and light dynamism. The entire structure rests on delicate, sculpted wooden legs—a refined detail that accentuates its lightness and formal elegance. It is upholstered in a fabric with a warm and inviting salmon/peach hue, featuring a dense yet subtle geometric micro-pattern that creates a charming contrast with the warm, natural grain of the wood. Seat height: 48 cm.

A small sofa with timeless charm, it is the perfect piece of furniture to elevate elegant interiors rich in character. Thanks to its compact size, it is extremely versatile and adapts well to various spaces—from the living room or study to a bedroom or entryway. Since the backrest is also fully upholstered, the sofa can even be placed in the center of a room. Wherever you choose to place it, this sofa is sure to become the undisputed focal point of your space.

The wood is in excellent condition; the fabric has a few small, faint stains on the seat, and the upholstery remains in good condition, though it is no longer perfectly firm. Of course, the sofa can also be customized by choosing a new upholstery fabric.
