Chaise/Fauteuil FISCHEL '' 15 E '' comes from this category of chairs whose legs are not divided into "squares" but into "lozenges", so they look more like armchairs than chairs. The piece shown here was produced around 1920-1925, a rare or even unknown version with a back decorated with 4 flat bars, and a beautiful lamé seat.
Manufactured in the newly independent Czechoslovak States at the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in the Fischel factories in Bohemia. (Snippets of label under the seat).
Excellent condition. Organic varnish: Schelack rosewood.
