A delightful pair of gilt, molded, and carved wood chairs, with openwork ogee-shaped backs forming a central medallion decorated with olive branches, lambrequins, sunflowers, shells, acanthus leaves, etc., resting on four fluted sheathed legs (some wear and reinforcements under the apron).
Italy, most likely Venice, late 18th or early 19th century.
Good condition.
Petit point tapestry upholstery decorated with a bouquet of flowers in a basket for one, and fruit in a basket for the other (some wear).
