Set of 6 19th century English Chippendale chairs – Mahogany, jacquard fabric

Set of six English Chippendale style chairs in dark brown stained mahogany, 19th century period.

Structure presenting the typical characteristics of the style: cabriole legs ending in pad feet and medallion backs with scalloped outline. The rounded seat and back are upholstered with a blue jacquard fabric with repetitive folkloric motifs (deer, rabbits, birds, female characters, fruit baskets, floral motifs), attached by a row of round-headed upholstery nails in a bronze/black finish. Seat height: 50 cm. Dimensions: H. 98 cm, L. 45 cm. Unit weight: 8 kg.

Workshop observation: all chairs are stable. Visible wear on the legs and backrest uprights, with scratches and areas of patina consistent with the age of the piece. Reupholstery available on request by our workshops.
