Set of eight molded, carved, and lacquered wooden dining chairs. In the antique style, the front uprights are shaped like Roman swords. The front uprights of the chairs are adorned with a palmette and rosettes. Made during the Consulate or Empire period, circa 1800-1805. The seats are upholstered in blue leather (?).

A beautiful set, understated yet elegant. It is also perfectly suited for use as entryway seating.

In very good condition; the chairs are sturdy and ready for everyday use.
