The pediment of each backrest is adorned with a delicate representation of fruit, reflecting the period's taste for natural, organic motifs. This detail adds a warm, poetic touch, underlining the skill of the cabinetmakers who designed this set. The top of each backrest, in the shape of a gendarme hat, is strikingly finished. The worn brown leather on the back and seat is held in place by an elegant line of nails, adding a refined yet robust finish. The legs of these chairs are equally original, with a curved wooden element linking the back legs to the front. The chair frames are stamped "Servin".
