Suite of six chairs in solid cherry wood, with straw seats, four of them with colored strands.
The concave back, in the cathedral style, is composed of two flat balusters similar to the Empire columns, and a high arching crossbar.
Each chair rests on two cylindrical front legs connected by a wide, slightly curved band. The two back legs are saber-shaped. On the sides and back, horizontal bars further enhance the stability of the whole.
These estate chairs, two hundred years old, were originally commissioned by a squire to furnish the common areas of his home. Solid and very comfortable, they have benefited from quality manufacturing.
