Suite of 8 Louis XVI style chairs – Solid mahogany & gilded bronzes

Suite of eight Louis XVI style chairs in solid mahogany stained dark brown, richly decorated with gilded bronzes.

Rectangular backrest with fine canework framed by moldings set with gilded bronze beads, crowned with a gilded bronze cartouche with floral and foliage motifs. Fluted cylindrical front legs, enhanced with gilded bronze rings and garlands; slightly sabre-shaped rear legs. Belt highlighted with a frieze of brass beads and decorated with gilded bronze rosettes at the four corners. Seats upholstered in natural cane.

Total height: 95 cm. Seat height: 45 cm. Width: 40 cm. Unit weight: 8 kg.

Set showing light wear consistent with its age. Canework in good condition. Bronzes in place. No intervention reported by the seller. Excellent general condition according to seller's report.
