Chair model N°738 by Thonet and Mundus, here stamped Thonet , obviously dating from 1920/25, naturally attributable to Otto Prutscher . I refer you to the photo of N°738 XI, even more typical of Prutscher's work.
The only documentation on this model, in PJ, comes from Jiri Uhlir's book, in which he writes:
"The highly successful Thonet 738 chair is still distributed in merger with Mundus.
A total of 9 variants were produced, marked with Roman numerals.
This is the basic model of the Category 738.
This chair is in perfect original condition; it has seen little use, and seems never to have been produced in numbers. Stamp and label.
Dimensions: Seat height, front: 47 cm, back: 46.5 cm - Total height: 92 cm.
More photos and information on request.
Shipment to Europe, France or to Alsace.
