    What is Lloyd loom
Lloyd loom is the name given to a weaving technique. The principle consists in wrapping kraft paper around a metal wire. The kraft paper in a metre-wide roll is cut into five-centimetre strips. These strips are twisted onto a steel wire. These wires are then installed on a loom to produce mats two to four meters wide. "Loom" means "loom" in English. The woven mats of paper fibers are then cut and mounted on a wooden, rattan or metal frame, on the same principle as wicker or rattan caning. Lloyd loom, which has been used in furniture since the early 20th century, is also known as "woven paper".
