Pair of golden silver tea Maison Odiot
French cup in pure silver, made in the middle of the 19th century. The silver is richly decorated with flowers, laurel cuffs, bows and pearl borders, a porcelain cup with royal blue glaze and a gold edge. The amazing set comes in an original gift box. The top of the box and the saucer adorned with a crown, undoubtedly this set was presented to a noble French family as perhaps a wedding gift.
French silver stamp (standard 950, used from 1838 to the present day), Paris, Signs for the Maison Odiot - Charles Nicolas Odiot (asset 1827-1869), each base stamped "ODIOT A PARIS". Charles Nicholas Odiot inherited the leadership from Odiot in 1827 and was the silver supplier to King Louis Philippe and the Orleans royal family. Stands out for the revived Roccoco style.
