This central crystal table set in a silvered bronze core is more of the Louis XVI neoclassical style than that of the Empire. An essential decorative art object for the French way of life, the centerpiece made it possible to arrange compositions of fresh flowers or fruit on the prepared table.
The chiseled motifs of young women dressed in the antique style punctuating the openwork belt are the allegories of the seasons.
