Solid silver mustard dish with a cobalt blue crystal bowl, a beautiful Empire-style tripod design, with the legs adorned with large palmette motifs. Early 19th century, circa 1810.

It bears the “2nd rooster, 1st title” hallmark in use between 1809 and 1819, a silversmith’s hallmark, the hallmark of the Silversmiths’ Association, and the Paris medium-guarantee hallmark. It was also re-hallmarked with the Minerva mark after 1838.

The mustard pot is accompanied by a mustard spoon of a very well-suited design and size. The spoon bears the Minerva hallmark and a silversmith’s hallmark.

A refined, original design with elegant proportions, in excellent condition, with no damage.

Note: From the same set, we also have matching salt shakers available.
