The Saulieu model, a fat/lean sauceboat, was created by Lino Sabattini for Christofle in 1964.
Lino Sabattini was an Italian goldsmith and designer.
In 1956, these creations were exhibited in Paris and attracted international attention.
He then became Christophe's design director for seven years.
This sauceboat is designed to separate the fattier, and therefore denser, part of the sauce from the lean part.
The handle is made of rosewood.
