An elegant silver-plated footed bowl, crafted in a rich Rococo style inspired by the Louis XV period. This fine French piece, dating from the Napoleon III era, testifies to the expertise of the great silversmithing workshops of the second half of the 19th century.

The circular bowl is adorned with a finely stamped and chased decoration of shells, scrolls, trellises, gadroons, and delicate floral motifs. The basin rests on an elegant baluster stem decorated with acanthus leaves, itself supported by an openwork base with flowing lines, particularly representative of the Rococo style.
The center of the bowl is engraved with a period monogram, adding to the character and history of this piece.
