I am offering for sale this spectacular silver-plated metal oil and vinegar set from the Empire-Restoration period, in very good overall condition. It rests on a substantial rectangular base decorated with lion's paw feet and foliate scrolls. This piece bears the hallmarks of the master silversmith Henri Kinberg, active in Paris from 1824 to 1838. This silversmith was renowned for the quality of his work and supplied the French Crown and the Orléans Royal Family during the July Monarchy.
The original bottles are missing but have been replaced by a very fine pair of Louis XVI period bottles with gold rims, circa 1785, in very good overall condition. This is a highly decorative piece of silverware and could serve as a centerpiece with flowers arranged in the bottles.
