    Very beautiful old Chinese silk skirt, dating from the beginning of the first half of the 19th century, composed of two identical panels forming a skirt to be wound, with inner lining in blue silk.

    The fabric features a rich hand-embroidered, intricately executed pattern representing a world of plants and animals: delicate flowers, stylized birds and butterflies in an elegant palette of reds, blues, greens and purples. The lateral and lower borders are decorated with decorative braid which harmoniously frame the composition.

    Beautiful quality piece, reflecting the traditional Chinese textile know-how, ideal for collectors, lovers of old textiles or decoration (frame, hanging, costume).

    Note: the skirt has spots and marks of time (visible in photos), consistent with its age.
