Louis XVI style fabric
Jacquard Fleuri

Period: early 20th century
Technique: Jacquard weave
Origin: Probably made in France (inspired by silks from Lyon)
Composition : Silk and cotton blend

Description:
Beautiful Louis XVI-style upholstery fabric, decorated on the front with finely woven silk floral motifs representing bouquets, flowering baskets and foliage in a powdery palette (pale pink, soft green, cream, touches of golden yellow). The decoration follows classic 18th-century codes, combining symmetry, refinement and floral elegance.
The reverse side of the fabric reveals a multicolored striped weave (green, brown, pink, yellow), typical of jacquard weaving, with no floating threads. This process guarantees a sturdy fabric, designed to last, while respecting the historical aesthetic.

Dimensions: 131 x 127 cm

Perfect for restoring period chairs and cushions, or for textile collage, bookbinding or cardboard projects.

Condition: Very good overall.
Please note: a few small stains on the top left of the fabric (visible on photo). May need to be cleaned locally or cut accordingly, depending on intended use.
