    An elegant clock in chiseled and gilded bronze,
    depicting a cherub climbing an orange tree and watching a butterfly.
    Surrounded by gardening motifs. The butterfly symbolizes the soul as well as the fragility of romantic love…
    The rectangular base, with a slight step, is adorned with a beehive, sickles and flails, and laurel wreaths on either side. It rests on six acorn-shaped feet.
    White enamel dial displaying the hours in Roman numerals,
    (classic clockmaker’s use of “IIII” instead of “IV”).
    Finely chiseled gilded brass hands.
    Very beautiful and fine craftsmanship.
    Magnificent luster of the original Amatie mercury gilding with agate inlay.
    Complete movement with an anchor escapement and silk-thread suspension,
