This regule mantel clock entitled "La Terre", sculpted by Charles Anfri, is an example of the decorative arts of the 19th century.
The combination of patinated bronze representing an allegorical figure on a red marble base is characteristic of the luxurious interior decoration popular during the Belle Epoque. The porcelain dial is painted with flowers.
The pivoting globe was made in the workshops of Emile Bertaux, diameter 12 cm, in perfect condition.
The clock works perfectly.
