Superb vase, in blown glass and worked with tools, brown tone colors decorated with a lacustrine landscape on an alpine background, acid-etched cameo relief, frosted background, signed "de Vez" for Camille Tutré de Varreux, circa 1908 / 1910.
In 1907, as artistic director of the Pantin crystal factory, Camille Tutré de Varreux, who signed "de Vez", created the admirable collection of "Glass Landscapes" whose variety of patterns never ceases to surprise. Acid-etched cameo in multiple color layers with previously unheard-of bite sharpness and tonal undertones that bring them closer to a painting, they remain unmatched in their genre.
