About Ernest Quost:
Impressionist and pastelist, he likes to paint landscapes, still lifes, flowers and fruits. A pupil of Horace Aumont (1839-1864), he was awarded a medal in 1889 at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. He was made a knight of the Legion of Honor in 1883. His flowers are much appreciated by Van Gogh and Monet.
it is exhibited in many museums, including the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée Marmottan.
