Desk with Cylinder from England, in solid and veneered Mahogany, composed of two elements.
The upper part is made up of two glass doors. A key unlocks the left one, while the right one opens with two latches with top and bottom hooks. The panes are underlined by interior strips in relief forming basket handles. On either side of these doors, there are projecting pilasters. The interior is lined with three shelves placed on racks and therefore adjustable as desired.
In the center of this Furniture we discover an Office space with Cylinder. The latter is operated by two Brass Buttons and can be locked. The interior offers a row of three drawers in Blond Mahogany, themselves overhung by eight compartments with pretty Carved Wood Elements. This work area is also equipped with a Retractable Tray that can extend to a depth of 35 cm. It reveals in the center a Lectern with variable inclination, covered with a green leather with Gilding around its periphery. On each side, there is a matching coating.
In the lower part, this Cabinet is composed of two doors with solid panels, with surrounds similar to those of the upper part. Likewise, we find the pilasters on the sides. The interior is here furnished with a fixed shelf.
The whole is topped with a soberly molded cornice and rests on plinths.
Note that this Cabinet can be dismantled into two parts, by a simple system of return screws, thus facilitating its transport and its installation.
We will appreciate the Multifunctionality of this Library / Office. This Two Body offers an interesting storage capacity, while releasing a certain finesse, in particular thanks to the narrowness of its upper part.
