Folk Art, 19th century, Souvenir d'une Chasse et d'un Jeune Cerf.
Beautiful folk art object, the encounter of a hunter with a young stag, with large antlers; he kept the memory by carving in oak, rather naively, a head of the animal he had met, he depicted it smiling, with large calm eyes, and large tear-drops. Nicely varnished and mounted on a black varnished cut-out wooden wall support, the object is not lacking in presence.
Condition: as good as new, untouched, genuine patina.
Dimensions: Large size, onerous when shipped: 95cm x 52cm x 33cm overall.
