    Large festive mug in turned birch wood, from the end of the 18th century; thick carved lid, engraved border, center decorated with a heraldic lion, emblem of the Kingdom of Norway. The thumb piece is also a lion carved in high relief, wooden handle with its leaf-shaped foot pegged to the body, skated feet in the shape of lying lions.
    It is a ceremonial mug, weddings or family celebrations, it was passed from hand to hand to drink to health, and these objects were passed faithfully from generation to generation.
