18th-century tuyauter or godronné iron. This type of iron, known as "Le Cigare", is a hollow brass cylinder on a stand, one side of which is open and into which an ingot, also cylindrical and previously heated, is inserted. The iron is fixed on its foot; it is the fabric that is moved on the brass part for the godronné, notably for lace, rubens and headdresses. Good condition, with traces of use. I would like to point out that the wooden handle was made after the 18th century.
