Charming Provençal bed warmer, (or Northern Italy), the red copper body with a convex bottom, in which the embers were placed, is hammered and decorated on the body with engraving of gadroons and leaves, on each side are attached attachments of a pivoting copper handle which allows the object to be transported at the end of a wooden handle; the hinged lid and iron latch is formed of a high crown of red copper centered with a turned button, which prevented the sheets from being in contact with the embers.
It's a lovely piece of work, quite rare to find with its beautiful and powerful rims.
